OLA (everything in Greek) can transform to a soul OLA (wave in Spanish). Everything can be music to my ears. Deep listening helps create rhythm from car horns and stairway steps, make audio metaphors by combining the sound of a church with that of a waterfall and music from a record shop with a street prayer, or reveal melodies using an egg cutter and a drying loft.

All tracks, text and concept by Basil Theodorou.
Image combination by Basil Theodorou based on Katsushika Hokusai’s The Great Wave of Kanagawa.

Moving Bench was presented in April 2015 at Beton 7 in Athens. It was an installation introduction for the live performance Stop Go, a socio-political statement as a noise, dark, minimal narrative.

Sun Day was broadcasted in June 2016 on Cashmere Radio as part of Katharina Schmidt’s “The Ear has to Travel” radio series http:/www.cashmereradio.com/listen/.

Thanks to Anassa, Diego Gutierrez-Valladares, Katharina Schmidt, Lisa Baeyens, Max Hilsamer and a priest at Pfarrkirche St.Trudpert in Muenstertal.
